Photoshop Fridays in Redding, CA

So what is Photoshop? Is it cheating, magic, or is it just the digital darkroom? Did you know every time you press the shutter on your digital camera unless you shoot in Raw your camera is running its own “mini Photoshop” so to speak? The camera takes the raw data and converts it to something like a jpg or tiff file by doing things like saturating it, sharpening it, adding contrast, etc. Let’s face it, our cameras are very smart and usually get things fairly close to how we see things, but how does it know how much sharpening, how much color, how little contrast we want? You are the artist, you should take control of your vision, be in control of how you want a scene interpreted.

Come take the mystery out of Photoshop, Look Photographic Workshops is hosting its second installment of “Photoshop Fridays” this Friday Jan. 13th from 6 until 8, join Dann Mann of HDR Imaging as he navigates you through Photoshop. These classes are designed for every skill level from beginner to advanced user, last week we covered the “tools pallet” and this week we will begin diving into the heart of Photoshop, Layers and Adjustment Layers. I can tell you that if you are not using “Adjustment layers” you are not really using the program to its real potential!

Sign up today, we had a pretty full class last week and space is limited, the cost for this class is only $20.00.
Hope to see you there!
