Parkour! Parkour! Parkour! Parkour??? What in the world is Parkour? Have you watched any martial arts movies in the last 10 years? Have you ever seen Jackie Chan scale a wall in a few well placed moves? Parkour is a method of flowing movement focused on moving and flowing around obstacles with speed and efficiency. Originally developed in France, the main purpose of the discipline is to teach participants how to flow through their environment by vaulting, rolling, running, climbing and jumping. Two primary characteristics of parkour are efficiency and speed. Parkour can be practiced anywhere, but areas dense with obstacles offer many different training opportunities.
We will be meeting at 10:00 am on December 8th at the Free Flow Academy in Rocklin, CA for a day of high flying, super cool action photography! Imagine having photos of athletes in mid flight, ninjas flying through the air and Kung Fu masters in training in your portfolio!
We will be providing lunch and drinks during the workshop so we can keep things moving. As always, we are there to help you out and we want you to go away with your best shots possible, so don’t shy away if this interests you but feel you are not at an advanced enough level. For those of you that are veteran shooters feel free to bring your own lighting equipment out and work your magic!
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday December 8th.
